This chapter gives a brief overview of the Salv Bridge product. By the end of the chapter, you’ll be acquainted with the main product offering and will have had the first glance at the web user interface (UI).
Overview
Bridge is designed as a “use case agnostic” data sharing platform, meaning that we use a number of technological components to support many different use cases – for example exchanging sanctions screening or transaction monitoring RFIs in real time, sharing suspicious entities with other network members, or exchanging information about fraudulent funds.
The product has 3 core technology components that enable these use cases:
Forum – a digital space for all network members to share thoughts, news, ideas or other public information among the network, as well as discuss any industry-specific topics.
Entity Sharing – a component enabling network members to report suspicious entities (as defined by concrete use case) and make queries about entities reported by others.
Secure Messaging – a secure peer-to-peer structured messaging solution to enable FinCrime related conversations and data-sharing as agreed by network members
Each of these is introduced in detail in the corresponding articles. For now, it's important to note that these technological components are divided into separate sections in the navigation bar, as shown.

💡 While this manual mainly focusses on workflows via the Bridge web user interface, the product can also be integrated to existing solutions via API. See technical description for more details about API.
