Manual querying
To make a query against Bridge, navigate to the Query page from the left sidebar.
First, select the type of entity you want to query about. You will then be provided with a selection whether to query manually or via CSV upload.
For manual query, just type in your query details and click on “Query” button.
If there are any matches to your query, you will see them in the right-hand-side table. You can hover mouse on the blue links with dotted underline to see more details at a glance.
💡 Note that only exact matches are returned. Therefore it is always recommended to query by some unique identifiers when possible (e.g. ID codes, company registration codes etc.) and not, for example, by name.

Sometimes, the entity you are querying about may be nested in a report made about another entity. For example, you may be querying about a private individual, but they may also be a related person to some company. Bridge will return these matches as well.

Querying using a CSV file
If you want to query many entities at once, it is possible to do it using a CSV file. Depending on what exactly you want to query about (e.g. template), the CSV file must contain specific column names as indicated in the UI so that the system will know which values to read from the file.
To make a query, just drag the file into the area indicated in the UI. The system will then validate whether the file has the necessary column names and return error message if something needs to be fixed with the file. If everything is fine, press “Query”.
Bridge will then read the values from the file to make the queries. Any matches are returned as usual.
💡 Note that the CSV processing is done inside the browser and the file will not be stored anywhere in the system by Salv.

Language Symbols Allowed When Querying
Applies to both manual querying and CSV upload:
Allowed Symbols: Special Latin symbols, such as
āčēģīķļņšūž
, are permitted. The system performs ASCII folding and converts all input to lowercase, making the search case-insensitive.
Prohibited Symbols: Cyrillic characters are not allowed.
Exporting matches as JSON
If you are using the Bridge product without an API integration, but are querying large amounts of data (e.g. using CSV files), the list of matches can get quite long. If you need to document you’re query results, then clicking on each separately and saving them as PDFs can be tedious. That’s why it is possible to directly export a JSON file with the query results, which you can use process according to your internal procedures.
If there were no matches to your query, a file can still be exported to show that a query was made.

Matched entity report details
You can click on any result to see details about the matched report. If there has been any changes to the report, you can also see the version history.

Exporting entity report details
If you’d like to export the results as a PDF (or print it), you can click the “Print view” button at the bottom of the report details. This will open up a cleaner view with the whole report history expanded. You can now use your native browser tools (e.g. right click > Print…) to either print it or save it as a clean PDF document.

Sending a direct request message from report details
If your organisation has the Secure Messaging feature enabled, it is possible to initiate a direct message from the report details view to the organisation who made that report by clicking “Ask for information”.

This will open a modal view where you can type in your secure message to the counterparty organisation. See the Secure Messaging chapter for more details and instructions about the messaging feature.
Query history
Underneath the querying module, you can see the query history log. Here you can see a full trail of a all queries users in your organisation have made, covering the following details:
Who made the query
What did they query about (template)
What was their query input
Whether there were any matched reports to the query and if yes, which ones
You can click on the ID of the matched report to see details about it.
You can also search the table by either the user or the entity ID from the top right corner of the table.
