Alert filters

Updated over 6 months ago

Multiple Filter conditions are available in criteria builder including Matched list type (Sanctions, PEP, Adverse media and Custom lists), Scenario type (Post-event, Real-time, Periodic), Scenarios, Alert status, assignee, time-related alert actions, entity type (Transaction or Person), any Person or Transaction attributes that you send, and more.

How to set filters in Alerts view

  1. Open the Alerts view in Salv.

  2. Click + New filter, name the filter and choose the desired conditions.

  3. Hit the Save button.

  4. Select the filter from the drop-down menu to see the list of filtered alerts.

  5. To Edit a filter: Select the filter you want to edit from the drop-down menu, then click on Edit filter. This opens up the filter editor. Make the desired changes and click Save or Save as new.

  6. To Delete a filter: Select the filter you want to delete from the drop-down menu and click on Edit filter. This opens up the filter editor. Click Delete. A message will pop-up requesting confirmation.

⏬ Filters are automatically organised hierarchically and sorted based on two primary criteria: numerical and alphabetical order:

  • Filters are sorted numerically first, allowing sub-categories, e.g. 1.1., 1.1.1., etc. (as seen in example);

  • If the filters are not differentiated by numbers, or if they have the same numerical value, they are then sorted alphabetically.

Important things to note

  1. Screening, Transaction monitoring, and Person monitoring alerts are all included in the Alerts view.

    1. ONLY Screening related filter condition:

      1. Alert → Matched list type

    1. ONLY Monitoring related filter conditions:

      1. Alert → Scenario type

      2. Alert → Scenario

  2. User must have any of the following roles to be able to create, edit and delete Alerts filters: CUSTOMER_ADMIN, ANALYST, AML_AGENT.

  3. Alert Flow feature is available for all Alert filters.

  4. Filter conditions are connected with AND logic, meaning all specified conditions must be met for alerts to be presented. However, within each individual condition, the selected values are connected with OR logic.

    1. For example, if an alert filter is configured with the following conditions: 1) Alert Scenario Type is Real-time, Post-event, Periodic; 2) Alert Entity is Person; then the system will show alerts that are Real-time OR Post-event OR Periodic, but only if they are triggered for Persons.

  5. A filter can not contain Monitoring alerts if one of the conditions is matched list type.

  6. If you are using Salv's Risk product, you can use the Final Risk Level in the Alert Filters (Person → Risk → choose from Risk levels).

  7. Data limitations:

    1. For Person or Transaction attributes to be used in Alert filters, they must be defined in Schemas and set to visible.

    2. All Transaction attributes can be used in Alert Filters.

    3. Most Person attributes can be used in Alert Filters, with the exception of OBJECT fields and their child fields.
