Each Bridge network can have a data retention policy. Shared entities older than the retention period are deleted automatically.
How it works
The retention period is set for the whole network, so the same period applies to every member. Network members agree it together.
An entity expires when its published version is older than the retention period. When a change is approved, a new version is published and the clock starts again.
An expired entity is deleted for all network members, together with its history: earlier versions and any pending changes.
Clean-up runs once a day, so an entity can stay visible for up to a day after it expires.
Deleted entities no longer appear in query results or in your reported entities.
Deletion is permanent.
Viewing your network's retention policy
Open Data Retention from the main menu and select the Entity Sharing tab. It's available to Organisation admins and Team leads, and is read-only.
The tab shows whether automatic deletion is on and your network's retention period. If some entities are already past the period, it also shows how many and when the next clean-up will delete them.
If you don't see the Data Retention page, contact us.
Changing the retention period
A single member can't change the network's policy. If you need a different period, raise it with the other network members and contact us. We'll update the policy once the change is agreed.
