Manual Screening search

Updated over a year ago

If you've been following this manual from the beginning, you might be a bit confused to see yet another search page. Don't worry, you're not seeing double. This is a special search page just for Screening. Here, you can search for specific Sanctions, PEP, Adverse media entries and your Custom lists.

To get started, click Search under Screening on the left menu bar.

📡 It is also possible to conduct a Manual Screening search via API as well. Please read more here.

❌ The Manual Screening search feature, whether conducted via UI or API, does not generate alerts.

Searching Dow Jones lists

When doing search against Dow Jones lists, you can select:

  • Screened value type has to be selected:

    • Name. Applies configured fuzziness threshold per each list type.

    • BIC. Exact matching type is applied. Follows your selected BIC length matching threshold.

    • Bank name. Exact matching type is applied.

  • "Search for a" selector to choose whether you want to search for an individual, a business or both.

Use the toggles to select the various screening types you want included in your search and click Search. Salv runs the search against all screening lists and the results are displayed on the right.

💡 For sanctions, it is possible to screen entities against either All lists or only Enabled lists.

Searching Custom lists

When doing search against Custom lists, you can select:

  • Custom lists against which search should be conducted.

  • Per each Custom list, list’s Screening Usable fields can be selected separately, indicating which matching type should be applied:

    • Fuzzy match - fuzziness threshold needs to be selected (any value between 80 and 100).

    • Starts with - prefix length needs to be selected (any value between 1 and 8). Works the same way as BIC matching - looks for an exact match of prefix (from the start of a token/namepart), i.e. selecting length of 8 means that 8 first characters must match.

    • Exact match.

    • Contains - reference matching logic is applied, i.e. every token from the list must be present in the input.

Results

💡 Screening search results are dependent on your configuration (the lists you've selected and your fuzzy matching score). Any active Clearance rules or Person and Transaction goodlisting are not taken into account.

Search results can be saved by clicking Export all which prompts Print page to PDF. Extracted results depict search input and selected search options as well as unpaginated search results.
