Manual risk level override

How manual risk override works - enabling and disabling the override, adding preset override reasons.

Enabling Manual risk level override

You can manually override the Final Risk Level of a Person by selecting the Override button on the top right of the Risk assessment box in the Customer page.

The final risk override can work either way — to a lower risk level or to a higher risk level. When enabling a Final Risk Override, you need to select the Risk level to override to, the Reason (Reasons can be pre-defined under “Manage”), and input a Comment before saving.

💡 All users, except those with AGENT and CUSTOMER_READONLY roles, can override the Final Risk.

To set up Final Risk Override Reasons, you must have one of the following roles: CUSTOMER_ADMIN, ANALYST, or CUSTOMER_AGENT.

Once enabled, the Detailed risk assessment hover-card will indicate the original Risk level as well as the Risk override level, alongside an override tag.

❗ Note that the the override is only applicable for a Person’s final risk level and not on individual risk data point level.

👉 NB! Original risk changes do not affect manual override.

For example, there are changes in person’s data which in turn elevate the person’s risk from Medium to High, but the person has an active Risk Level override, e.g. Medium → Low: in this case person’s original (calculated) risk changes from Medium to High, but the final risk level does not change and stays Low as it is manually overridden.

Ending Manual risk level override

The Final Risk Level override can be disabled by clicking on the End override button.

Manual risk override audit trail

You can access the override history log on the Customer page by hovering over the 'View Override History' option. This log displays all overrides applied to that specific customer.

For a comprehensive audit trail of all manual risk overrides ever applied, visit the Head of Compliance dashboard, where you can view and extract detailed records.

The dashboard includes a stats table showing the number of customers with manual risk override. At the bottom of the dashboard, a table lists all actions related to overrides, including additions, deletions, the responsible user, timestamps, comments, risk level information, and links to the profiles of affected customers.
